Implementing custom document flows just got easier with LON’s new DocuSign integration! You can now work with LON to create fully customized document flows, seamlessly connecting your Loan Origination System (LOS) with third-party recipients. Now, you can pull documents directly from your LOS, send them securely for e-signature, and push completed documents back to your system or external partners—all with robust security and compliance.

Key Features

  • Custom Document Flows: Design workflows tailored to your business needs.
  • LOS Integration: Effortlessly pull and push documents between your LOS and DocuSign.
  • Secure Third-Party Delivery: Send documents to external parties with end-to-end encryption.
  • Automated Status Updates: Receive real-time notifications as documents are signed and completed.

Getting Started

Follow these steps to set up your custom DocuSign integration:

  1. Provision a DocuSign Account:
See here to get started with DocuSign.

  2. Connect your DocuSign Account with LON:
    Follow these instructions!

  3. Define your workflow logic:

  • What roles are involved in the eSignature process? (e.g. First Signer, Second Signer, CC, etc.)
  • What action will trigger these eSignature requests?
  • What documents will be involved, and where will they be stored?
  • What data will be passed to/from your LOS and these documents?
  1. Create a “New Feature” request in the helpdesk:
Please add as much specification as you can, detailing the desired workflow logic. We’ll work with you to develop the logic and get it into your production instance!

Example Implementations

1. Automated Loan Agreement Signing

  • Trigger: Loan application approved in LOS.
  • Action: Pull loan agreement template, send to borrower via DocuSign.
  • Result: Signed document is pushed back to LOS and archived.

2. Third-Party Verification Requests

  • Trigger: Verification needed for a loan.
  • Action: Pull verification form, send to third-party verifier.
  • Result: Completed form is securely delivered to both LOS and compliance team.

3. Multi-Party Collaboration

  • Trigger: New mortgage application.
  • Action: Send disclosure documents to borrower, co-borrower, and real estate agent.
  • Result: All parties sign in sequence; documents are distributed and stored automatically.

With this integration, you can streamline your document workflows, reduce manual effort, and ensure compliance—all while delivering a seamless experience for your clients and partners.
